N11 - grow - open since early 2023
In the new central Isala building, we are providing a total of 6,500m² additional conference and training facilities with labs, offices and a brasserie area wit fully equipped kitchen. This extra space is needed to accommodate the spectacular growth of the companies at the Science Park and to attract new entrepreneurs.
ViTalent, the new training center for pharma and biotech, operates from this building. Isala is named after Belgium's first female doctor Isala Van Diest (1842-1916).

"In 2021, ViTalent will move into the science park in the new central building. We will be building the very first specialised training center for pharma and biotech in Flanders, where we will welcome students, jobseekers and employees from the life sciences sector for tailor-made training. We will provide a technical training hall, labs and classrooms. The technical training hall of approximately 850m² will be a real eye-catcher with, among other things, simulated production lines for the packaging and filling of medicines, a cleanroom to simulate the clean working environment of biopharma companies and modern training equipment. This enables hands-on training in authentic working conditions, especially for operational functions in lab, production and packaging jobs. Including laboratories, classrooms and offices, the total surface of the training center amounts to more than 1,700 m². The cooperation with POM Antwerp has been very smooth so far."
