Embedded in one of the embankments, you have a beautiful view of the adjacent nature reserve from this building. Working and relaxing have never gone together so well. In the spotlight: BioOrg

A word from: Koen De Koster, founder and CEO of BioOrg

More than ten years ago, Koen De Koster and Filip Willocx began their search for an innovative way to combat visible pollution, but also particulate matter and volatile organic compounds in the indoor air.

In 2009 BioOrg launched its first product. This technology is protected by several international patents. Companies such as Colruyt, KBC and the Flemish government are customers, as is our incubator Darwin at the park.

Today the company has 7 employees. BioOrg saw a big increase in the number of applications for the biological nebulization of offices during the COVID-19 period. “In addition to the measures required by the government for disinfection of contact surfaces, BioOrg provides air purification and extra hygiene by introducing an ecosystem of good bacteria,” according to Koen De Koster, CEO BioOrg.

“We are pleased that the Science Park is strongly committed to the synergy between work and relaxation in nature. POM Antwerp provides a green environment, both inside the buildings and outside by creating a flower meadow, water basins, footpaths, ... The eu.reca initiative also focuses on topics that are close to our heart, such as the recent workstream on air quality. If you consider all these benefits, you will understand why we are very excited to continue to grow and allow our business to flourish at this Science Park. And that growth is strong. "
